For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.            John 3:16

The Godhead

God is a Trinity. He is not three gods (tritheism).  Nor is He one God manifested as three personalities (modalism). He is one God, eternally existing in Three Persons, - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  This is a truth impossible to comprehend yet clearly taught in the Bible exness. These Three are identical in essence, equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections, and being worthy of the same reverence, confidence and submission (Deut. 6:4; Mt. 28:19,20; Lk. 3:22; II Cor.13:14; Eph. 2:18; I Jhn. 5:7).

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

1.  The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.  In the incarnation, His eternal Deity was brought into union with a sinless human nature.  He became man, without ceasing to be God.  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. The purpose of the incarnation is that He might reveal God, redeem sinful man, and at His Second Coming reign visibly on earth (Jhn. 1:1,2,14,18; Lk. 1:34,35).

2.  The Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our complete redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, propitiatory and substitutionary sacrifice; a redemption made sure to us by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Rom. 3:24,25, 5:8-10; I Pet. 2:24; Eph. 1:7).

3.  The Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God the Father, where, as our High Priest He fulfils the ministry of Representative, Intercessor and Advocate (Acts 1:9-11; Rom. 8:34; I Tim. 2:5; Heb. 1:3; 6:19,20; 7:24,25; I Jhn. 2:1,2).

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit exness thailand

1.  The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, possessing all the attributes of Deity; and that in essence, He is equally God  (Acts 5:3,4; 2 Cor. 13:14).

2.  The Holy Spirit is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration and sanctification, and has baptised all believers into the Body of Christ, indwelling equally and permanently every believer, and sealing them unto the day of redemption  (Rom. 8:9; I Cor. 6:11; 12:12-14; Eph. 1:13,14).

3.  The moment a lost sinner places faith in Christ as Saviour, he immediately possesses the Holy Spirit  (Rom. 8:9; I Cor. 3:16; 6:19; Gal. 4:6; I Thess. 4:8).

4.  The Holy Spirit is the Divine Teacher who guides believers into all truth through the Scriptures that He inspired.  He bestows spiritual gifts upon believers.    It is the privilege and duty of believers to be filled (controlled) with the Holy Spirit  (Jhn. 16:13; I Cor. 12:4-7; Eph. 5:18).

5.  The apostolic (II Cor. 12:12; Rev.2:2) and revelatory gifts of the Holy Spirit ceased with the apostles and completion of the Scripture Canon exness th  (I Cor. 13:10; 2 Pet. 1:19,21; Eph. 2:20; Heb. 2:3,4; Rev. 22:18).  The New Testament gift of tongues was an actual foreign language and not an ecstatic, repetitive, garbled kind of utterance (Mk. 16:17; Acts 2:7,8; 11:17; I Cor.14:10,11,21,22)
